We keep this simple: we use only what we need to show you the weather, and we do not sell your data.

What we process and why
Your location
When you open the site, we estimate your city from your IP address so we can show local weather straight away. If you tap “My location”, your browser asks for permission and shares your device’s position so we can load the forecast for exactly where you are. We use location only to fetch the forecast and do not store it.
Saved places and settings
Cities you save, your °C / °F choice and your light or dark theme are kept in your own browser’s local storage. They are not sent to or stored on our servers, and you can clear them at any time in your browser settings.
The weather assistant
When you use the chat, your message and the city you are viewing are sent to our servers and processed by an AI service provider to write the reply. We do not store your conversations or use them for advertising. Please do not share personal or sensitive information in the chat.
Spoken forecasts
Audio forecasts are created for a city, not for a person. Requesting one shares only the city you are viewing.
Server logs
Like most websites, our servers keep standard technical logs — IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time — to keep the service secure and working. These logs are deleted automatically after about two weeks.
Cookies
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies today. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Services we rely on
The interactive weather map is provided by Windy.com and loads directly in your browser, so it is covered by Windy’s own privacy policy. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, and some weather layers are requested from our data providers listed on the Data & credits page. These services receive your IP address in order to deliver their content.
Children
The site is a general weather service and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your rights
Because we do not keep accounts, saved profiles or chat histories, we usually hold no personal information about you beyond short-lived server logs. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask about, correct or delete personal information we hold.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site develops. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
